• Light Guides for Front Panels - Diagonal IP68. This family of light guides, from MENTOR, have been developed from the original 1282 and 1293 light guides. They are a waterproof version with an IP68 rating, tested by MENTOR. A waterproof design is achieved through their unique shape and a precise mounting hole. MENTOR ‘s straight light guides are designed for use in front panels and with surface mounted (SMD) LEDs. Suitable LEDs include the TOPLED and CHIPLED families from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. This range of light guides has a diagonal inject face which will sit in close proximity to the LED, at a 45° angle. The front panel light guides are made using a clear plastic material. Available in a variety of different dimensions, the light guides have a spherical, planar or Counterbore head shape. Suitable applications include; medical devices, security safety, communications equipment and industrial control. Their IP68 waterproofing makes them ideal for use in applications with harsh environments..
