• RS PRO 791-8504 RJ45 Plug. The RS PRO 791-8504 is an RJ45 modular plug designed for general Ethernet and telecommunications applications. It is a male connector which is designed to be wired to a stranded wire cable. The 791-8504 meets the Cat6 and Cat6A standards and is backward compatible with other category cables, such as Cat5 and Cat3. The 791-8504 is an unshielded RJ45 plug and is therefore more suitable for use with cables over a shorter distance. The shell of the connector is made from a UL94V0 polycarbonate plastic while the contacts are 1.27 m gold plated.
