Description |
The Human Primary Leptomeningeal Pericytes cells are cryopreserved at passage 2 and can be cultured and propagated for up to 10 doublings before senescence. They are isolated from normal human leptomeningeal layer which surrounds the brain in the central nervous system. They can be usedin virto to study hypertension, diabetic retinopathy, atherosclerosis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and tumor angiogenesis as these pericytes have roles in these processes. |
Applications |
For Research Use Only |
Propagation |
Use of PriCoat™ T25 Flasks (G299) or Applied Cell Extracellular Matrix (G422) is required for cell adhesion to the culture vessels. Grow cells in ECM-coated culture vessels with the following conditions. The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow X series medium available at abm, Cat. No. TM4177. These cells must be grown in ECM-coated flasks (G299) with the aformentioned medium.Carbon dioxide (CO2): 5%, Temperature: 37.0°C. |
