CTiVd Detection Kits
Coconut tinangaja viroid (CTiVd) is associated with tinangaja disease, a lethal disease of coconut palm which was first described in 1917 in Guam. This disease resembles coconut cadang-cadang disease, caused by a coconut cadang-cadang viroid (CCCVd), which occurs in the Philippines. The two viroids share about 65% overall sequence homology. Typical symptom of CTiVd include yellow spots on the leaves and the production of small, scarified, elongated nuts lacking kernels.
• Ready to use format, including Master Mix for the target and PCR control to monitor for PCR inhibition and validate the quality
• Specific Primer mix for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest
• Positive control and a negative control to confirm the integrity of the kit reagents
• Loading dye and a DNA ladder to facilitate qualitative analysis of the results on an agarose gel
