E.Z.N.A. Mollusc DNA Kit 50 preps D3373-01

The E.Z.N.A.® Mollusc DNA Kit is designed for efficient purification of genomic DNA from molluscs, arthropods, round worms, flatworms and other invertebrate tissues rich in mucopolysaccharides. Fresh and frozen samples that have been preserved in alcohol or DNE can be used with this kit. This procedure relies on the well-established properties of the cationic detergent, cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), in conjunction with the selective DNA binding of HiBind matrix. Samples are homogenized and chloroform is added to remove mucopolysaccharides. Following a rapid alcohol precipitation step, DNA is further purified and all salts, proteins and other contaminants are removed.
