It promotes cell adhesion for various cell types, such as hepatocytes, fibroblasts, spinal ganglion, muscle cells, Schwann cells, epithelial cells. Coating collagen I can be applied to the study of tumor cell invasion, migration and the chemotaxis of macrophages, monocytes.
