HE-TOPAS-Prime maintains all the best features of “TOPAS” parametric amplifiers. Additionally, input pump energy is accepted up to 60 mJ (or even more for custom solutions).
Unmatched dispersion free amplification in the second crystal stage is added to standard TOPAS-Prime (TOPAS) section in order to accept highest possible pump power (12 mJ 25 fs or 60 mJ 100 fs pulses can efficiently pump HE-TOPAS-Prime).
Two models of HE-TOPAS are available: three amplification stages FS and UFS model to be pumped by 20-200fs pulses (HE-TOPAS-Prime) and five stages PS model pumped by picosecond laser pulses (HE-TOPAS-800). Femtosecond version consists of TOPAS-Prime surrounded by an additional power amplification stage while the heart of picosecond version is TOPAS-800 - superfluorescence seeded OPA. In both models pump is delivered to the second crystal by low dispersion mirrors. Absence of optics and short crystal used for amplification helps to keep shortest possible pulses at the output of HE-TOPAS. Final reduction of beam diameter (and increase of pump intensity) is performed just before the final amplification stage.
